Reverse osmosis

A reverse osmosis membrane works like a sieve, which only allows pure water molecules to pass through.

Osmosis is a filtration process which separates 99.9% of harmful substances from drinking water.

All bacteria and viruses are larger than a water molecule, thus nature has given us the chance to effectively recover this precious resource. The holes in an osmotic membrane are approximately 0.0005 microns in size (bacteria are between 0.2 and 1 micron and viruses between 0.02 micron and 0.4 micron).
