The UVC-LED unit from DreamFilters® has been specially developed to reliably improve the microbiological quality of water in homes, motorhomes, campervans and mobile applications. This version features a G 3/8″ male thread (BSP) on both the water inlet and outlet, allowing easy connection of suitable flexible hoses with compatible swivel nuts.
Thanks to its compact design, flexible 12 V or 24 V DC power supply and low energy consumption, the module can be easily integrated into existing water filtration systems. The device uses highly effective UVC LEDs that emit light in the wavelength range of 260 to 280 nm. This UVC radiation can effectively inactivate pathogens such as bacteria and viruses in water. Under the tested laboratory conditions, a microbial reduction of up to 99.999% was demonstrated.
The module is equipped with an automatic water flow sensor that activates the UVC LEDs only when water flows through the device. Unlike conventional UV lamps containing mercury, modern UVC-LED technology is completely mercury-free. Water disinfection takes place without chemical additives and leaves no chemical disinfectant residues. This makes the module an environmentally friendly and low-maintenance solution for additional microbiological water treatment.
