John Guest shut-off valves are widely used in reverse osmosis systems. They are made of white polypropylene (PP) and equipped with food-grade EPDM O-rings to comply with food regulations. These specialized shut-off valves serve their function as tank valves in reverse osmosis systems. The shut-off valve features an internal 1/4-inch NPTF thread and a quick-connect for a 3/8-inch hose with a diameter of 9,53 mm. However, they are not suitable for compressed air, explosive gases, petroleum, or other liquids. Similarly, they should not be used in heating systems or similar applications.
